Yoshiki “Under the Sky”
Sonic Films/Youtube Originals Concert Film
Stage build Los Angeles.
When director Mark Ritchie envisioned Yoshiki’s rooftop concert, he knew he needed a team that could translate big ideas into precise, cinematic reality. Chris G TV was brought in to create a suite of detailed renderings, helping the director communicate his vision clearly to production and crew. The performance featured a mix of live and virtual guest artists, demanding a set that could adapt seamlessly to multiple camera angles while staying visually immaculate.
On-site, Chris and his team ensured the stage remained crisp and polished, adding 80 linear feet of custom wall to conceal the rooftop parapet and provide uninterrupted sightlines for sweeping jib shots. To complete the look, a 40x60-foot high-gloss floor was installed by a specialized vendor, delivering a reflective, mirror-like surface that amplified the scale and elegance of the performance. Every element was designed not just to look clean on camera, but to elevate the entire experience, making the rooftop concert as visually stunning as it was musically unforgettable.
