Nickelodeon KCA
Pre Show for Awards
Location Build Los Angeles
For the 2010 KCA pre-show, Chris designed a show-stopping set that had talent literally walking over slimeāan 8-foot plexiglass bridge spanned a 30-foot-long, 8-foot-wide slime river, perfect for interviewing guests and presenters. Two towering 20-foot video walls cleverly hid the custom plumbing that recycled slime from a dramatic waterfall feature, which flowed across the stage, under the decks, and up to pour from either side. Chris also created stylish welcome areas for arriving talent and intimate interview zones for the international press. This followed his 2009 set design, which exploded out of the stage with 24-inch-deep letters bursting from a carved slime wall.
