The team at We Are Royale tapped Chris to production design a trio of spots for Final Fantasy XIV Online. Working closely with director Brien Holman, Chris scouted and transformed two key locations: a private home that could flex into multiple storylines, and a sprawling 70,000 sq. ft. fitness facility that matched the scale of the script.

For the home-based shoots, Chris and his team reimagined the space with custom pony walls, strategically installed plugs, and even reconfigured appliances to shift the environment between spots without breaking continuity.

The gym location brought its own set of challenges—multistory layouts, mirrored walls, and sheer size. To overcome this, Chris designed and built a standalone sauna set, placed directly on the basketball court, and installed flats to mask entire mirrored surfaces that would have otherwise complicated filming.

The final spots blended live action with CGI character elements, giving the campaign a hybrid cinematic style that both honored the iconic game graphics and delivered a fresh visual language for the brand.
