2023 Billboard Music Awards Performances

Chris was first brought on by director Ben Mor to design Peso Pluma’s show-stopping performance at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards. Staged at the iconic Mayan Theater, the concept centered around a fully custom-built boxing ring, complete with Peso’s logo emblazoned across the canvas and integrated throughout the set design. To elevate the spectacle, a dramatic 30-foot catwalk was installed, setting the stage for Peso’s entrance and framing the unforgettable cameo by Mike Tyson.

The following week, Chris and his team pivoted to an entirely different challenge—designing and fabricating a massive 40’ x 40’ infinity pool for Karol G’s performance. With limited time and tight stage availability, the team engineered a clever solution: surrounding the pool with a soft cyc and 200 feet of masking to conceal the Color Force lighting, creating an immersive, glowing environment that matched the scale and energy of Karol G’s set.
