MTV Movie and TV Awards Open:

Chris was tasked with designing several sets for the MTV Movie and TV Awards hosted by Leslie Jones. The cold open featured Leslie transported to various 70’s and 80’s sitcoms. Initially all were meant to be shot on green screen and simply propped out however the “Leslie Matters” set was made practical the day prior to shooting. Chris and his team were able to repurpose a set for the “Kong, Godzilla” bit and turn it around as an 80’s sitcom. There were several other bits through out the awards show that paid homage to various films and needed small recreations so VFX could insert Leslie into these scenes. All said Chris and his crew built and dressed 2 full sets, 2 recreation elements with scenic pieces and 3 green screen scenarios which needed props.
