 The challenge on this was to fabricate a set piece that would mimic the functionality of a doorway but be freestanding and see through for 360 degree shots. All this while a body builder used the equipment attached to the door at full tilt. Grips hung 360 degree of blacks on the stage and we built an elevated platform that would hide a steel frame which acted as leverage below the set piece. The entire unit ended up weighing about 600lbs including the 1 ¾” thick custom plexi glass door we fabricated.
